GENERAL SANTOS CITY, January 11, 2024 – In a joint operation conducted by the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), an alleged online seller involved in narcotics distribution in the city was apprehended during a buy-bust operation on Thursday evening.

Police Colonel Nicomedes Olaivar, city police director, identified the suspect as Jay Ruzzel Mae Guion Crisostomo, 24 years old and residing in Purok Crisostomo, Barangay Calumpang, this city.

According to reports, the arrest transpired around 6 PM on Thursday in Morales Subdivision, Brgy. City Heights, where a significant quantity of suspected shabu was confiscated from the suspect’s possession.

A total of 16 packages, believed to contain illegal drugs and weighing 54.5 grams, were seized, estimated to have a street value of PhP 371,635.00.

Alongside the narcotics, various drug paraphernalia, including two tooters, disposable lighters, buy-bust money, a cellphone, and the motorcycle used during the operation, were also recovered.

Police Captain Danny Balofinos, Chief of Police Station 4 of the GSCPO, revealed that the suspect’s name had recurrently surfaced in previous arrest narratives. Surveillance and test buy operations confirmed her illicit activities, leading to the arrest.

Currently detained, the suspect faces charges for violating RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Olaivar emphasized that the successful operation underscores the GSCPO’s unwavering commitment to eradicating the proliferation of illegal drugs and criminality in the city, showcasing the seriousness and thoroughness of law enforcement efforts.
