GLAN, SARANGANI PROVINCE – Governor Ruel Pacquiao of Sarangani Province extended his appreciation to all attendees and participants of the recently concluded Sarangani Bay Festival 2024, held at Reyes Beach in Barangay Gumasa, Glan.

Governor Pacquiao attributed much of the success of SarBay Fest 2024 to the overwhelming support of the people, particularly the enthusiastic participation of tourists from across the nation.

“Many thanks to everyone who supported, attended, and especially the tourists who joined us to experience the excitement of the Sarangani Bay Festival,” said Pacquiao.

The governor also expressed gratitude to the provincial government staff, local police, military, and all individuals who contributed to the three-day beach festival.

Highlighting the festival’s significance, Pacquiao emphasized that the annual gathering not only showcases the beauty and richness of Sarangani Province to visitors but also brings joy to the people, especially the Sarangans.

During the festivities, Senator Imee Marcos, sister of the President, enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and was impressed by the massive turnout at one of Mindanao’s premier beach parties.

Despite the fun and celebration, Senator Marcos issued a crucial reminder about the importance of preserving Sarangani’s natural resources and marine environment.

“Let’s not forget that the SarBay Festival was established for environmental protection, aiming to maintain the pristine beauty of Sarangani Bay,” Marcos emphasized.

Meanwhile, Sarangani Province recently achieved recognition as the fifth fastest-growing economy in the country, marking a significant milestone as it moves away from being counted among the Philippines’ poorest provinces. (JJ)
